Angela Asimakopoulos
Psychologist
Angela is a compassionate, non–judgmental, open–minded, and driven individual who strongly believes that mental health and physical health are inextricably connected. She likes to explore mind–body interactions to improve client wellbeing and draw on elements from multiple therapeutic approaches to individually tailor treatment for each client and their unique needs.
Angela has a particular passion in helping clients through journeys in life that feature significant change, loss and adjustment. She is skilled at helping people move through the grief of having to let go of one’s “old life”, and learn the skills that will help to accept that things will be different, and then take the necessary steps to optimise functioning, health, and overall wellbeing. Angela can help people learn how to be flexible, adapt and make modifications in all facets of life.
Angela is passionate about the field of health psychology and her desire to help other people.
Outside the Therapy Room
Angela likes to ‘walk the talk’ and has a whole toolkit of strategies she likes to use in her personal life to help her manage her wellbeing.
This includes quality snuggle time on the couch with her pet cat.
