Dr Marco Giardini is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over three decades of experience helping people better understand their minds and move towards lives that feel more manageable and meaningful.
He has developed particular expertise in the assessment and treatment of adults living with ADHD and related challenges. Marco is a foundation member of the Australasian ADHD Professionals Association and has attended every AADPA conference since its inception, as well as undertaking specialist ADHD training in Australia and Europe.
Marco collaborates with psychology practices to provide comprehensive ADHD assessments and treatment planning, and is also involved in training clinicians who conduct ADHD assessments. For many years he has delivered seminars to psychiatry trainees in Adelaide, helping grow the number of clinicians confident in diagnosing and treating ADHD.
People who work with Marco often comment on his calm, thoughtful approach. He takes the time to genuinely understand the person sitting in front of him, not just the symptoms they’re experiencing. Marco works with adults aged 18+ and also speaks fluent Italian.
Outside the therapy room
When Marco isn’t working with patients, you’ll often find him behind a keyboard. Literally! He’s an accomplished musician who performs in several bands around Adelaide and has an impressive ability to play just about anything.
Music is a long-standing creative outlet for him, and he loves the energy that comes with playing live.
He also enjoys spending time with friends and family over a great meal and a good bottle of wine, because the best moments in life are often the ones we share.

He is unable to accept assessments from outside clinics.
