Meet Gary
Gary’s the kind of psychologist who believes that real change happens when people feel safe and seen. With a gentle, no-nonsense approach, he helps his clients dive deep into their thoughts and emotions, creating a space where they can really get to know themselves. For Gary, therapy isn’t just a tool – it’s a journey of transformation, one where he walks alongside his clients to help them take on life’s challenges, boost their well-being, and find new paths to personal growth.
Gary’s experience covers a lot of ground. He’s worked with people one-on-one, in groups, and even in the corporate world, helping teams and individuals make meaningful changes. His background also includes diagnostic assessments, especially for Autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities.
When it comes to his approach, Gary is all about blending the best tools for each person. He draws from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy (SFT), along with mindfulness practices and skills training. His focus is on finding what works best for each client, knowing that everyone’s journey is unique.
Outside the Therapy Room
I enjoy life, and I love learning new skills.
On a regular basis I enjoy activities like Crossfit, running, motorcycling and eating cake! I have also found woodworking, DIY renovations and playing musical instruments to be wonderful hobbies in my downtime.
