Matthew Wajs
Psychologist
Matthew Wajs is a warm, approachable psychologist who believes that the best therapy begins with a genuine human connection. He has a natural ability to build rapport with people from all walks of life, creating a space where clients feel comfortable, understood and supported from the very first session.
Matthew has a particular interest in working with adults experiencing anxiety, ADHD and depression. Drawing on evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), he works collaboratively with clients to better understand their experiences, develop practical coping strategies and make meaningful changes aligned with what matters most to them.
Before joining ProMind Psychology, Matthew worked supporting people through significant life challenges and periods of uncertainty. This experience has given him a deep appreciation of the many personal, social and practical factors that can impact mental wellbeing.
Matthew is passionate about making psychology accessible and easy to understand. Rather than relying on clinical jargon, he enjoys helping clients make sense of their thoughts and emotions in a way that feels relatable, empowering and practical. His goal is to equip people with skills they can continue using long after therapy has finished.
Whether you’re navigating stress, feeling overwhelmed, struggling with low mood, or wanting support to better manage ADHD, Matthew provides a compassionate, down-to-earth approach focused on helping you move towards the life you want to live.
