Tillie Scholten

Psychologist

“The willingness to show up changes us. It makes us a little braver each time”

Tillie is a compassionate psychologist dedicated to empowering individuals on their journey towards personal growth and well-being. In the therapy room, she suspends judgement and comes from a place of warmth, authenticity, acceptance, and collaboration. Tillie creates a therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, valued, and supported.

Passionate about advocacy and understanding, Tillie is committed to promoting awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity in both clinical practice and the broader community. She believes in the importance of fostering deep connections and creating a therapeutic partnership that empowers clients to embrace their strengths and achieve their goals.

Rather than try to fit people into one therapy style, Tillie skilfully tailors therapy for each human she meets by drawing on a diverse array of therapeutic techniques, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Interpersonal Therapy.

Tillie is especially passionate about conducting diagnostic assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. She has a special interest in evaluating Autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, giftedness, and specific learning disorders such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. Additionally, Tillie is a registered practitioner of the Griffiths Scales of Child Development, further enhancing her diagnostic capabilities.

You’re in good hands with Tillie.

Outside the Therapy Room

I am a busy body at heart and love to sew, create, and keep active through yoga and dance.

One of my goals for this year is to have a full wardrobe of clothing that I have made.

I spend most of my free time down on the beach with my nieces or tucked up on the couch for a movie night.

What is Tillie into right now?

I am unashamedly obsessed with reading trashy romance novels!
